Archivist, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, October 2016-present
  • Hallie is the archivist for JB Films and Television, a production company in Santa Monica, CA.  There she catalogues, collects, and preserves all media and material pertaining to Mr. Bruckheimer, his films, and his television programs.  

Collection of Texas Independent Film 501( c )( 3 ), May 2016­
  • Executive Director. In Spring 2016, I started the Collection of Texas Independent Film, a 501( c )(3) non­profit, whose goal is to collect, preserve, and promote access to independent film material (narrative, non­-narrative, documentary films) found in Texas. CTIF collects scripts, photographs, manuscripts, film stock, and other material that directly relates to the production of independent films. Our collections span between the late 1960s to the late 1980s, however we accept material from any period. Everyday duties of the Executive Director include managing our staff and interns, delegating projects, management and upkeep of our various websites, correspondences with our legal team, our licensing partners, donors, etc., donor outreach and acquisition, and grant research and general fundraising. 
 
Producer, Archivist, Executive Assistant to Louis Black January 2015 ­ April 2016
  • Louis Black’s (co­creator of South by Southwest, co­founder of The Austin Chronicle, co­founder of the Austin Film Society) executive project assistant. I have helped him publish historical documents for upcoming book series’ (CinemaTexas Notes anthology, Eagle Pennell book), produce and manage film restorations, and the creation of archival collections. Restored films include the Jonathan Demme Presents: Made in Texas series of short films, the Whole Shootin’ Match (Eagle Pennell), Last Night at the Alamo (Eagle Pennell), and Eggshells (Tobe Hooper). Archival projects include the management of the David Boone, Brian Hansen, Daniel Johnston, and Lou Perryman Collections, as well as the maintenance of 16mm and 8mm film. I also helped form Production for Use, an independent film consultation company, and Fast Draw Films. Job duties include managing interns and teaching them basics of archival preservation and conservation of paper materials and film stock, book research (development and management), and building and running online exhibitions including bobjohnstonbook.com, madeintexasshorts.com, and lastnightatthealamo.com.
 
Academy Film Archive, Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts, and Sciences June­August 2013
  • Internship. Legacy 16mm, 28mm, and 35mm film handling, inspection, and cataloging, under Thelma Ross and Joey Guercio. Worked on the Mark Pickford Collection and the Blackhawk Films Collection.
 
Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas at Austin October 2012­2015

  • Research assistant for Steve Wilson, film curator in the Humanities Research Center (Harry Ransom Center). Job duties include analysis of research information, helping outside researchers, and helping curate and develop the Gone With the Wind 75th Anniversary exhibit and catalogue. I was also in charge of cataloguing and inventorying the Tobe Hooper film and paper collection.
 
Texas Archive of the Moving Image, September 2013 – December 2013

  • Internship. Inventorying and cataloguing the Jim Ruddy legacy collection for the digital database and archive under Madeline Moya. Included working with the digital database, Filemaker Pro and Excel.
 
University of Texas at Austin, Student Athletic Association August 2012­January 2015

  • Academic Mentor for the Freshman Student Athletes. I helped them with writing skills, reading and note taking skills, and basic time management skills. I would also tutor the students on American Literature and History.

  • Member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA), Society of American Archivists (SAA); profiles on IMDB and Linkedin.
  • Ballet: Pre­professional classical ballet dancer (danced with the Long Beach Ballet, Ballet West, and Ballet Austin). Highest­level student at Ballet West Academy and at the Long Beach Ballet. Danced in professional productions of the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty, among others.
